Kids these days....

Kids these days think differently than when I was a kid. Or at least their experiences are so different, the thoughts that pop out of their mouths are rather humorous. Last week at church Raelyn handing me a number 2 pencil at church and said: "Mom, this doesn't work... it needs batteries" my first thought was: "I think we have too many electronic toys"!

Happy Valentine's Day

Darren managed to get this picture of everyone looking at the camera and smiling - no small feat when you are dealing with 3 little ones. Of course, I really wanted the picture since we were all decked out in our Valentine's red....

Tigger torture

Tigger has been a favorite toy around our house but he can get on mom's nerves after a while -so much so that he even went to go live with a friend for a while . I recently got him back for Avonlea thinking she would like to bounce with him. Instead, I have discovered a new form of baby torture....

Lift up your face - Part II

Here is so post-dinner entertainment at our house. Make sure that you watch at least 40 seconds to see Avonlea's reaction....

Childhood...

Always listen to your children when they are singing... always. You never know exactly what is going to come out of their mouth.

Raelyn was recently singing a Third day song which says "Lift up your face, salvation is coming"

Raelyn's version of it was "Lift up your face, salivation is coming..."
.... so, for all of you who have a lot of drool - life up your face! Perhaps Dentists nationwide can play her version over their muzak ;)

Before she turns 3 months...

I thought I should post her 2 month pictures! As you can see, she has figured out how to play with her tongue and is getting better at holding up her head....

A photo moment

There are some moments that are made to be captured with a photo. Matching big sister/little sister shirts is definitely high on the list! This is the girls winter version - they also have matching summer t-shirts from a good friend of ours (and yes, that will be a photo moment as well!)

one month old!

Here is Avonlea at one month old.... I think the flash was a little overstimulating ;)

Here she is!

Here is one of the first pictures taken of our newest baby girl, Avonlea Noel. We are so thankful for another beautiful daughter and I know her sisters are anxious to teach her the joys of dress up and all things related to princesses!

After the first bath...

All of the Morgan girls have had their picture taken in the same "sweet baby" towel after their first bath. If I was really organized, I would be able to put all of them here for you to compare. As I am not that organized, 3 out of 4 will just have to do!

Here is Raelyn....
next is Abigail....
and finally "new baby sister Avonlea" as she is commonly called in our household....

Bath night!

Here is a picture of the Morgan girls all cleaned up and ready for bed... aren't they adorable?

And the winner is.....

Here are the long overdue pictures from our Light the night walk. It was the coldest walk we have participated in (one year it was almost 90 degrees) and it was emotional remembering Abbie but it was a wonderful evening. Thanks to everyone who donated, we were able to raise over $800 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.... THANK YOU!!!!
I also finally got around to having the girls pick the winners. Here they are getting prepared to pick the names...
(and yes, Raelyn had recently woken up)...
Eliana drew the first name....
and the winners are.....
Grandma and Grandpa Frost!

Raelyn drew the second name...
and the winners are....
Geoff and Susie Martineau!!!!

Thank you to everyone who participated - we really appreciate it! I have contacted the winners by e-mail but for those of you who didn't win, you can be on the look-out for next year's give-away!

Trick or Treat!

Here are the girls on Halloween. Eliana was a princess (big shocker there!) and Raelyn donned Eliana's old pumpkin costume. The second Raelyn put it on, she kept saying; "Rae-rae cute pumpkin"! Both girls had a good time but were glad to get back home and dig into their candy stash (and so was their mom!).

Contest for Abbie!!!!

The girls are once again holding a contest in order to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk in memory of their sister. For each $25 donated to the girls websites, your name will be entered into a drawing. The girls will each pick one name out of the bucket and the two winners will each get a gift card to a restaurant (restaurant will be determined by location of winners). Please consider donating as the money will go to help battle leukemia and support patients currently battling the disease. Plus, the girls really enjoy getting to draw names!
Here are their webpages to donate:
Thanks so much!

Rae's birthday...

Here are some pictures from Raelyn's birthday. She really enjoyed her celebration. Here she is with her "horsie" cake that her mommy lovingly made...
...eating her free ice cream sundae. Did I mention that this girl definitely inherited the ice cream loving gene (it comes from both grandpas and her mommy!)

Here she is opening presents. She had a hard time because she wanted to wear/play with all of her presents while still opening the new ones. She quite enjoyed herself on her special day!

Here is a little video clip of Rae.... she was a little bit excited and kept saying Happy Birthday!!!

Fun at Grandma and Grandpa's house...

I know it has been a while since I posted, and Darren has been giving me a hard time so I thought I would post a few pictures. Of course, the only pics I have loaded on my computer at the moment are from the end of August... but I guess better late than never!

Here is Eliana enjoying a tractor ride with Grandpa at his house... both girls had a grand ole time with their grandparents!
Here is Raelyn "helping" Grandpa in her garden....

A good download...

Our church worship leaders have produced a cd and you can download it for free at the following site. On the cd is the last song that was played at Abbie's funeral "We will dance"... enjoy!

I went to a really smart school....

and this proves it:

some U of MI students created and produced "Harry Potter, the musical". For those of you who are fans of the book, you will find the link below highly entertaining. Enjoy!
